We had the pleasure of attending an Arts & Crafts show where Heidi had a booth and were fortunate enough to have a space that allowed us to watch her work. Her flawless technique is fascinating and we are thrilled to show some of her work within our walls.
A note from Heidi
Heidi Bengry is predominantly a western and wildlife artist with occasional forays into fantasy artwork as well as human and pet portraiture.
Being raised in the Northwest Territories, she grew up with a deep love of animals and all the wild places, which is evident in her artwork.
Though she has been drawing and painting ever since she could hold a pencil, Heidi's first formal training came in the form of an acrylic painting course that took place in a little framing/art shop in a mall in Edmonton where artists were encouraged to work on their art while customers wandered the shop and could meet and talk to the artists. Ever since, she has loved working in public and showing off her artwork.
Heidi works mostly in acrylics as well as drawings in graphite and coloured pencils. She currently lives and works in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and is a member of the Moose Jaw Art Guild.
